Security

Upscaler leverages AWS, Google Cloud Platform, and MongoDB Atlas to deliver a secure multi-tenant architecture to our users. All hosting providers are vetted and apply security controls in line with internationally recognised security standards.
We use serverless services to reduce the risk of server-level security issues arising.
We use encryption to protect data. MongoDB Atlas and AWS Lambda encrypt data at rest, and our platform uses Transport Layer Security (TLS) encryption for all data in transit.
Logging is configured within the application to provide complete traceability.
We operate an Information Security Management System that is certified to ISO 27001.
Our application supports multi-factor authentication (MFA) with authenticator apps so our clients can have the option to enable MFA. We have also implemented role-based permissions and extensive change control features within the application.

Privacy

We process all personal data in line with GDPR and the Data Protection Acts 1988-2018 here in Ireland. Our Privacy Policy is available here.
Our software platform uses data centres based within the European Union.
Where any data transfers outside of the European Union may occur, we always rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC) to ensure the continued protection of personal data.
We have vetted all of our suppliers and have Data Protection Agreements in place.

We have robust and tested business continuity and disaster recovery plans in place.
The services that we use to deliver our application provide on-demand scalability, ensuring capacity requirements are met.
We monitor our services for potential security and performance issues.
We implement staging as part of our secure development process, ensuring the testing of our new features and content don't impact the stability of our production environment.

Upscaler is a SaaS (Software as a Service) system designed to help our clients efficiently implement and maintain a world class Management System that is aligned with ISO management system standards. To demonstrate the quality and effectiveness of our product, we achieved both ISO 27001 certification and ISO 9001 certification using Upscaler. Our Quality Policy is as follows;
